Getting Started Before you can take driving lessons you must be in possession of a provisional licence. To apply for a provisional licence click here The Theory Test You must pass the theory test before you can take the practical test. The theory test consists of two parts. Firstly the multiple choice section, followed by the hazard perception part. Once you have passed the theory and hazard perception you then have a period of two years in which to pass your practical test. Failure to do so would mean the expiry of your theory test certificate. Please click here for more information Pass Plus Once you have passed your driving test you can then go on to improve your skills by doing the pass plus course. Pass plus is part funded by the local council and consists of a minimum of six hours further training which can result in discounted car insurance. Ask your instructor for more details.
